English Arabic Joke Book 1
The English Arabic Joke Book Book is out - with a new translation by Ziad Ameen, an English teacher from Aleppo in Syria. The book contains 100 jokes in easy English and easy Arabic. The book is ideal for speakers of Arabic to improve their English and for learners of Arabic to read some simple Arabic. All the profits from the book will go to MSF, Médecins Sans Frontières, to help with their amazing work in Syria and elsewhere.
There are great jokes like:
“It's very important that you welcome the guests by name,” the manager told him.
“But how am I supposed to know their names?” complained the headmaster.
“It's easy,” said the manager. “People almost always have their names written on their suitcases.”
That evening, the headmaster welcomed his first guests, “Good evening Mr and Mrs Samsonite!”
And lots of great cartoons.
